06.08.2009 Weddings, Portraits and Clients

This past Friday I had an amazing time photographing and spending the day with Matt and Sarah. The were married at the Oceanview room on the Naval Submarine Base in Point Loma. The weather predictions didn’t look good all morning, with rain and clouds predicted throughout the day. But as the ceremony grew closer, the clouds never turned dark, the rain stayed away, and we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day, fit for an outside wedding and reception. Here are just a few images.

A nice detail shot of the dress:

I love this shot of the bride and her Mom peeking out the window, looking at the ceremony site while Dad contemplates his speech for the reception:

A shot of the beautiful vintage clamshell that held both of the rings:

Sarah was radiating her classic beauty, so I had to snap a classic window portrait. I love her small hint of a smile.

And a couple more of the bride:

The groom cleans up alright, as well:

You know I love the orange!

The bride was walked down the aisle by both her father and mother:

Like I said, a beautiful day:

Married, with bubbles:

Matt immediately began his husbandly duties by carrying his wife’s dress. : )

Cake! (…which was very tasty!)

And one last shot of the happy couple during their first dance. Rather than hog the dance floor, they shared their first dance with everyone!

These two are off to Mexico for some honeymooning! Have a fabulous time, guys!
