It’s only September, but it’s certainly time to start thinking about, planning, and booking dates for this year’s holiday portrait sessions and holiday cards! Once again this year I’ve put together a simple and affordable holiday package, as well as instituted an awesome discount in all of my 2009 client galleries. Here are the details regarding this year’s info, starting with the awesome flat gallery discount.
*** 20% off all print orders through the end of the year! ***
I have reactivated most of the image galleries from this past year, and they now all have a 20% discount for all orders. This discount will be available through the end of the year. Please be aware that if you’d like to receive your orders in time for Christmas, you MUST submit them by December 1st! I will do my best to get them all shipped in time for the holidays, but cannot guarantee any orders after December 1st. To browse through a particular gallery, simply CLICK HERE to access the main client page!
If you have any questions, or need to be reminded of a particular password, please feel free to contact me at anytime by SENDING ME AN EMAIL, or giving me a call at 619.244.7627
This year I’m offering another awesome, all-inclusive holiday portrait package containing everything you’ll need for your family portraits and holiday cards. For $350, here’s what you’ll get:
– a 1 hour location portrait session here in San Diego
– a password protected on-line gallery containing of all your images
– a disc of all the out-of-camera hi-res images
– 25 – 4 X 5.5 folded linen holiday greeting cards with envelopes (utilizing your favorite image from our session. Additional sets of 25 cards are available)
– a digital retouched hi-res file of the image used in your holiday cards
All sessions must be booked by November 1st, and must be scheduled to take place by Sunday, November 28th. If you have any questions, or would like to book a session, please SEND ME AN EMAIL, or giving me a call at 619.244.7627
If you’d like to use an image from a wedding, event, or portrait session from earlier this year, you can order holiday cards using those images directly through your gallery.
Please don’t wait too long to contact me about scheduling a date for your session. I already have several dates booked, and the closer we get to the holiday season, the more difficult it is to squeeze everything into everyone’s schedule!
And as I’ve done for the past couple of years, I MUST post MY holiday card with Jen and I from 2007. We received an incredible amount of awesome feedback form this goofy shot that it’s worth posting again. We’re planning something extra-awesomely-goofy again this year that will include our beautiful new baby girl, Elliott. Until then, lets reminisce back to ’07….

I look forward to working with you all again this year!

I can’t believe my little girl is 5 months old! I know it’s a cliche, but it seems like just yesterday Jen and I were bringing her home from the hospital!
After posting her 5 month portrait over on her blog, I thought it might be fun to post a little collage over here on my blog. While I take a lot of pictures of Elliott all the time, I make sure that take a good, standard portrait every month on the 13th, the day she was born. I’m hoping to do something with all of the images when she turns a year old. For now, here’s a little collage of images starting from the day she was born, through this lat Sunday when she turned 5 months old. It’s amazing to see the month by month growth!

And here’s a shot I’ll be posting over on her blog in the next couple of days:

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with a super fun family in Mission Trails Park. They showed up looking great and ready to have fun. This was their first professional photo session outside of a traditional studio. They were a blast to hang out with, and came with a fantastic energy and willingness to let loose. When it comes to family photography and portraits, it always helps to have subjects with a great attitude, and the ability to not take things to seriously. If my clients and I don’t have some fun while we’re shooting, there’s something wrong!
Here are a few of my favorite shots from our get together on Sunday:

They also wanted individual portraits, and I was happy to oblige…

If you’re interested in having family photographs taken for the holidays, please SEND ME AN E-MAIL, or call me! 619.244.7627. I will be posting information about my fall holiday portrait packages very soon. Check back!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the day with Katie and Clint in Del Mar, CA. The two spent the morning relaxing and getting ready at the L’aubegre, and were married at the Del Mar Brigantine. After the crazy heat wave we’ve had here in Southern California fort the last couple of weeks, it was nice to have it cool down for us. Here are a few fun shots from their beautiful day!

I love the little picture frame details on the boquet:

Katie was one of the most relaxed, laid back brides I’ve ever known! She was radiant and easy to photograph all day!

The lucky groom!

The ceremony was held at the Del Mar Brigantine, and was gorgeous!

Married!

The Norwegian cake was so good!

And one last fun shot at the end of the night:

Congratulations, you guys! Thank you so much for letting me be your wedding photographer. You and your entire family are fantastic!

It occurred to me that I’ve recently shot several headshot sessions for actors and actresses in both LA and San Diego, and that I hadn’t had a chance to blog any of them. So, I thought I’d post a couple shots from my most recent headshot session from early last week. Garrett is an up and coming actor currently living in LA. He has a fantastic attitude, a great look, and was super easy and fun to work with. Has has all the right attributes to go far in the business! Here are a couple of my favorite shots from our short get-together last week:

If you or anyone you know is in need of a headshot, either here in San Diego or up in Orange County or Los Angeles, please drop me a line. I’d love to work with you!

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of flying out to New York City to shoot a beautiful wedding for an amazing couple. The day before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner was the first time I’d met the bride and groom face to face. The bride hired me over the phone after receiving a referral and seeing the images from that wedding the previous year. I knew these two were going to be fantastic and easy to work with, as over the years I’ve noticed that like-minded, awesomely cool people tend to refer people much like themselves. And this was a perfect example of that idea. From the second we met while walking into the rehearsal dinner, everyone involved with the wedding made me feel like a part of the family. And that makes my job especially fun and memorable, and more importantly, leads to wonderful photographs.
Here are just a few of favorite images from the day…
The bride’s wedding dress was so amazing, it gets three pictures!

The beautiful boquet:

Traditional Korean shoes!

The room where these to got dresses and prepared for the wedding is the same room where the groom proposed to the bride! Check out the amazing private patio and view from their room at the Bowery Hotel:

A shot of the lovely bride just before heading out of the room:

Gorgeous!

The groom cleans up well, too:

Proud Dad walking his only daughter down the aisle:

The ceremony and reception was held at the amazing Manhattan Penthouse.

We shot just about all of our portraits in Washington Square Park:

And couple on the street:

They both wore traditional Korean outfits whilw being announced, and for their first dance. So colorful!

And one last shot of the amazing couple. One of my favorite image of the day:

I want to thank my good friend Brandon Williams for flying out to NYC just to hang out and shoot with me!
